Dynaweb™ polypropylene meltblown for liquid filtration
applications in numerous weights from 15 to 200 grams per meter
squared with Mean Flow Pore Size ranging from 0.5 to 45 micron.
However, there are applications such as in Medical Blood Filtration,
where polypropylene is not an acceptable material. For those
applications, which are appropriate, Johns Manville provides
polybutylene teraphthalate (PBT) polyester as an alternative.
Johns Manville is commercializing the recently
developed Dynaweb™ PBT for liquid filtration in the medical
area. This product provide a different set of chemicals and
thermal resistance for specific applications especially in
the blood filtration area. Dynaweb™ PBT can be sterilized
by gamma irradiation, which is very important for medical
applications and does not exhibit antimony contamination,
providing unique product performance.
