ForTex TD - Johns Manville's new glass fiber nonwoven limits production costs of vinyl floorings by reducing PVC consumption
Bad Homburg (June 7, 2005) -- Johns Manville (JM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and leading manufacturer and marketer of premium-quality building and specialty products, today presented ForTex TD, a high-tech carrier of resilient cushioned vinyl floorings.
ForTex TD combines a thin glass fiber nonwoven with a dense surface. This special structure exhibits an ideal integration of PVC-paste and creates an extra smooth flooring surface at the same time.
"For our customers, ForTex TD not only provides improved processing properties, it also ensures cost effectiveness through reduced consumption of PVC-paste during the manufacturing process," explains Uwe Hein, business manager, Floorings & Specialties.
