Johns Manville introduces glass fiber nonwovens ForTex Black
Bad Homburg (June 7, 2005) -- Johns Manville (JM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and a leading manufacturer and marketer of premium-quality building and specialty products, today announced the launch of ForTex Black, an innovative solution for black facing applications.
ForTex Black provides best-in-class facing properties for mineral wool insulation. The extended product range is comprised of specially designed product types to perfectly satisfy the customer's needs. All product styles have excellent PCS values allowing the final product to meet high fire class requirements.
The ForTex Black brand family includes the following products:
ForTex XF Black
This extra fine facing material is characterized by its beautiful, smooth surface and a consistent grade of blackness, creating a superior, homogenous coverage.
ForTex A2 Black
ForTex A2 Black has an outstanding grade of blackness and meets the most stringent A2 fire rating regulations according to DIN 4102.
ForTex R Black - reinforced
Due to its outstanding flexibility, ForTex R Black is ideally suited for technical insulation applications such as wrapping of pipes or chimneys. ForTex R Black is reinforced with glass filaments.
ForTex S Black - standard
ForTex S Black provides cost-effective facing with outstanding surface coverage and an excellent grade of blackness.
