New Johns Manville Development: Dynaweb® PBT:
Bad Homburg (April 17, 2002) --- As a result of recent breakthroughs
in melt blown technology, Johns Manville is pleased to announce
at the INDEX fair in Geneva the development of the new Dynaweb®
PBT This new PBT polyester-based product is used in filtration media.
Johns Manville is commercializing the recently developed Dynaweb®
PBT for liquid filtration in the medical area and industrial hydraulics.
This product will provide a different set of chemicals and thermal
resistance for specific applications especially in industrial areas.
Dynaweb® PBT can be sterilized by gamma irradiation, which is very
important for medical applications and does not exhibit antimony
contamination, providing unique product performance. Excellent uniform
properties characterize this new product. Currently, Dynaweb® PBT
is supplied in weights from 10 to 200 g/sqm and mean flow pore sizes
from 1 to 14 microns, as single layer or multi-layer calandered
roll goods.
