Johns Manville – Looking at Innovative Growth

Bad Homburg (February 17, 2003) --- JM is presenting its Global Reinforcement Business during the JEC 2003 in Paris (hall 1,booth no. N22/P19). Past year the new products have been developed and successfully brought onto the global market. These products are now being presented at JEC in connection with representative construction parts.

SMC – Aplus, developed in close co-operation with leading European SMC molders, is used in automotive exterior body panels requiring a Class A surface.

Direct Roving LFTplus, qualified for the production of structural automotive components – based on LFT technology – achieves better mechanical performance and lower total system costs for the automotive Tier 1.

CS Thermoflow – chopped dry strands, adapted for thermoplastics such as PP, PA PBT etc., are applicable in automotive, electrical and consumer goods allowing improved flow characteristics during the compounding process.

New this year at the JEC are the hybrid yarns for structural automobile components (for example with PP or PBT) as well as new CSM (Chopped Strand Mat) products that will be presented.

Sliver and Yarns for textile applications and high performance glass nonwoven products round up the product program from Johns Manville at this trade show.
