New Johns Manville Development:

CombiFil® - Fine Fiber Filter Media

As a result of recent breakthroughs in spinneret technology, Johns Manville is pleased to announce the development of a new and improved fine-fiber spunbond product, CombiFil®. This new filtration media is a multi-layered structure composed of ultra-fine and coarse polyester filaments.

The ultra-fine filaments on the filter surface provide a significant improvement in particle removal while the coarse filaments on the downstream side keep the pressure drop to a minimum. Benefits of the new CombiFil® media include improved filtration efficiency, lower pressure drop, longer filter life, lower energy usage and excellent media cleanability.

Polyester co-polymers are used to bond the continuous filament nonwoven without the need for chemical binders. The resulting product advantages include increased tensile strength, high purity, exceptional uniformity and stability, and excellent pleating performance.

This innovative technology is available on our newest production line which started-up recently in Berlin. For additional information, please contact our sales and marketing personnel in Bobingen at +49(0) 8234 9670 560, or access our website at www.jm.com/filtration.
