Polyester Spunbond Price Increase
(Bad Homburg, March 11, 2003) – Today Johns Manville Europe announced a 7-10% price increase for their polyester spunbond materials effective April 1, 2003. Dr. Enno Henze, European Business Manager Roofing Materials, commented: ”Johns Manville is confronted with rapidly increasing costs for PET raw materials, energy and transportation. We have already absorbed a significant portion of our increasing operating costs by intensive productivity and cost saving programs. Now the remaining cost increases need to be passed on the Marketplace.”
